When We’re Open

How it works

The Zion Warming Center is a pop-up service that opens during periods of extreme cold. We activate as needed, based on weather conditions and community need.

Open hours will always be announced on our Facebook page.
That’s where you’ll find the most up-to-date information on:

Overnight opening and closing times
Which nights the warming center is active
Any changes due to weather or road conditions

Check Facebook before you come so you know the warming center is open that night.

What We Provide

Free services

When the warming center is activated, guests can expect:

A warm place to rest with individual cots
Charging stations for phones and essential devices
A warm meal served in the evening

All services are provided at no cost, as supplies and volunteers allow.

Who Is Welcome

Guests

The warming center is open to:

Adults
Teens
Families with children

There is no ID required. If you are without heat or without a home for the night, you are welcome here.

Important: Please note that we cannot accommodate pets inside the warming center at this time.

Guidelines & Safety

House rules

To keep the space safe for everyone, the following items are not allowed inside the warming center:

Alcohol
Drugs
Weapons or firearms

Our goal is a calm, safe environment where everyone can rest, warm up, and recharge.

There’s no minimum amount and no pressure. If you’ve been asking, “How can I help?”—this is one very real and practical way.

What Your Gift Makes Possible

$10 → Provides gloves and socks for one person
$25 → Provides a warm meal for a family of four
$100 → Provides one cot and bedding for a guest
$200 → Helps cover heating the building for six hours
$600 → Covers all expenses for one full night of the warming center being open
